With a wingspan of over 3 metres, the Andean Condor is the largest flying bird of prey in the world.
An ideal way to experience Western Plains Zoo is by bike or on foot. Bikes are available for hire, but visitors are most welcome to bring their own. While Western Plains Zoo also provides helmets, it is recommended that visitors supply their own helmets where possible.
There are no bookings held on our hire bikes and, as some specialty bikes are in high demand during weekends and school holidays, we recommend that visitors enquire at our hire shed upon arrival to arrange the best option.
It is important to remember that the Zoo circuit is a public road and normal road rules apply at all times.
