Taronga Zoo was proud to be part of Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure.
On 7th December Taronga Zoo was proud to play host to the 302 lucky audience members that visited Australia as part of Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure. This was their first taste of Australia and what a way to begin – arriving at Taronga Zoo’s stunning harbour side location by ferry.

After the show audience members had a chance to meet some of our other residents, including our herd of eight Asian Elephants who are part of a vital breeding program to protect this endangered species.
The pinnacle of the evening was dinner overlooking the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney harbour at night. To the delight of our visitors pre-dinner drinks were accompanied by the chance to meet some our native friends – furry and scaly. From Koalas and bandicoots to crocodiles, spiders and a snake or two our visitors had the chance to experience the full range and diversity of Australian wildlife.
If you'd like to get up close to our native animals and learn about them from one of our keepers you should take a look at our tours here.
