
Taronga's Education programs are discovery with a difference! We offer schools and teachers fun and interactive learning opportunities that enable students of all ages to:

Conducted by qualified educators, our unique, hands-on workshops are curriculum-based and can be tailored to meet the needs of your students. They are included in the cost of admission and ensure you students get the most out of their visit to Taronga Zoo or Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Taronga Zoo is open every day of the year from 9am to 5pm.

Recommended Ratios
One supervising adult per five students for Year 2 and below.
One supervising adult per 10 students for Year 3 and above.
Risk Assessment Form for Teachers
The Risk Assessment Form was developed in consultation with the NSW Department of Education and Training. Please be aware that Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo cannot make the assessment for you. You must make your own assessment based on the information provided. To assist, we have included a Safety and Venue Information table that answers all of the questions asked by the Department of Education and Training.
