• Over 130 students joined the Zoo's Project Platypus in its second year to raise awareness and support Platypus in the western region.

We are educating local students about how to protect the Platypus and local waterways so they can become ambassadors for the species.

When fishing or yabbying in the Macquarie River only take what you need and following the rules and regulations to ensure their is plenty of food for the Platypus.
